Feeling Good Enough

Have you or are you feeling like you’re not good enough?

Like you’re a burden?

Not wanting to go out in public in case those little voices in your head start chirping?

Not wanting someone to comment on your recent weight gain?

Trying to avoid eye contact with someone you once knew from your past in public?

Well, I have, and I’m here to totally agree and say it SUCKS.

I guess we all have our good and bad days- we’re only human at the end of the day right?

But I’ve personally been on this long lost journey for a while now and I’m here to give you a few tips that have been helping me lately:

1.

On my lowest of low days I try and find something positive to laugh about or look back and think ‘Yes girl you killed that’. *NOTE* When I say I try and find something positive it can literally fluctuate from being a huge burden like a dreaded meeting turning into a great laugh and everyone being on the same page and everything getting sorted = POSITIVE or as small as having a delicious NAUGHTY doughnut. (especially if they’re Nutella) = POSITIVE

2.

Talking it through with someone you love and trust ALWAYS HELPS.

I am a prime example of someone who used to bottle things up and have them come out like word vomit when I least expected and take my sh*t on the people I loved the most.

*Not healthy or positive*

My new approach to life is now talking it out. Just think of it as: being vulnerable is the new sexy.

It may be hard at the time but once you’ve let it all out you’re going to feel like a huge weight has been lifted off your chest and the person on the receiving end is probably going to understand where you’re coming from a little better.

3.

Find 3 things you like about yourself.

Sounds cringe right?

Or maybe even vain?

Well, it’s not so get over that thought process.

Since when did we all get to a point where complimenting ourselves and saying YES GIRL YOU’VE GOT THIS was a negative???

It’s bizarre but anyways,

Even on your lowest day try and find 3 things you like about yourself and BELIEVE THEM.

You may think it feels better when someone else says 10 things they love about you but at the end of the day if you don’t feel good enough or worthy enough of the complement how are you ever meant to accept it?

Find 3 things, believe in them and run with it.

I hope you’ve gotten to the end of this article and thought:

“I’m so glad that NOT is crossed out”

Because I’m here to tell you that you are good enough and the moment you start believing it you will be a force to be reckoned with.

Don’t ever forget that you’re a BAD**S #girlboss
